Friday I packed my bags and jumped on a plane to Marietta, Ohio for Hope and Brenden’s wedding at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. You might remember Hope and Brenden from their beautiful engagement session last winter. We had a beautiful snowfall that created the most dreamy images. Living in Georgia now, I often miss the snow and photographing in it, so it was a treat to photograph such a beautiful couple while it was snowing.
Not only are Hope and Brenden a beautiful couple, they are also the kindest, sweetest, joyful, caring, and most thoughtful. They met through mutual friends in high school and instantly felt a connection. Hope and Brenden spent a lot of time with one another becoming great friends which led to their sweet relationship.
Hope told me that she knew Brenden was the one soon after they met, but it was solidified when one Sunday he showed up to mass and sat right next to her. He constantly blew her away and went above and beyond for her.
When it came time for the proposal, Brenden saved up and booked a flight to Paris where Hope would be for a day on a travel abroad trip. He asked someone to take a picture of them, got down on one knee, and asked Hope to be his wife.
Two years later, Hope and Brenden stood together, hand-in-hand, in front of God and their family and friends, and said “I do.” They had the most stunning ceremony in the beautiful St. John the Baptist Catholic Church that Hope grew up attending. Their wedding was perfect from the friends and family that were gathered around them to the beautiful details they planned.
Hope and Brenden, from the moment I’ve met you both, Jesus’s love and joy burst through you. You both are so kind, loving, fun, and beautiful from the inside out. I love the way you love your family and friends and treat strangers like they are family. I hope you love your photos as much as I loved taking them, and every time you see them, they help you to re-live your magical wedding day over and over again. Congratulations on your new adventure together! It was a blessing to document your wedding day and watch you two dedicate your lives to each other with God.
