About a month ago, I receive an Instagram message from Skyler asking if I could capture the moment of him proposing to Holly. I responded that I would no doubt be there for her “YES” and wouldn’t miss it for the world.
Skyler & Holly’s love story started here at Life University in Marietta, Georgia during their first quarter. For Holly, specifically in Dr. Demons’ class when on the first day each student has to stand up and say their name, where they are from, and why they chose Chiropractic. She sat in the back with a couple of friends and when Skyler stood up she knew at that moment that she needed to meet him.
That next weekend, Skyler showed up at the local bar that Holly was at and they talked for hours. After that, they were inseparable. It’s now been almost three years and they have never been more in love with one another. When they are together, their smiles span ear to ear & you can see their heart-melting when the other talks.
When discussing details, Skyler said that he would be proposing at the gazebo on campus where their love story began. He also wanted to propose specifically on a Tuesday because as in the song ‘Tuesdays’ by Jake Scott, it’s about all the little moments he spends with Holly, not just the big moments or days. Love is the Tuesdays for them.
Skyler went above and beyond in planning the most perfect engagement for Holly and to make sure that she wouldn’t suspect a thing. That meant that he had to trick her all weekend in taking her to all her favorite spots & getting dressed up so that she had no idea when it was coming. He also asked Holly’s patient to match her little girl in a dress so that she would be wearing the perfect outfit for the proposal.
On that Tuesday, he picked Holly up after her appointment and brought her to the gazebo where he decorated with beautiful flowers and the first plant that they bought together. Skyler then got down on one knee and proposed with Holly’s dream ring from Melanie Casey. In tears of happiness, Holly said “YES!”
Congratulations Skyler and Holly! I am over the moon happy for you both and cannot wait to watch you grow in God and love together for the rest of your lives!
